Bradley Donner

about the artist

I have always had a love for the natural world around me. So, it was only natural for me to draw, and paint  the wild things that I love.

When I was young, I was fortunate to live in an area where nature was always close by, and I spent countless hours exploring the woods, rivers, and creeks, near my home.

As long as I can remember I have always had a pencil in my hand, drawing, and sketching, even when it got me into trouble. Thankfully, I had a great 2nd grade teacher, and a couple of great high school art teachers who gave me encouragement. My mother made sure I was exposed to art, and enrolled me in many art classes, and workshops at our local Art Center. There I was exposed to a variety of mediums, and techniques.

My love for the outdoors takes me to the wilds of northern Minnesota,  Canada, and the Driftless trout streams of southeast Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Research for my art is part of the joy of painting for me. It takes me to the places I love and enjoy.

I see paintings everywhere I go.
