New Painting

This is a commission piece that I painted in Acrylic on board. The image size is 8"x10". This was a fun piece to work on. I started by looking for the right background. I wanted something that would compliment the bird. I did some field research and photographed wild grape vines, dogwood, and many other types of trees and brush. I picked the junipers because of the interesting branches, the color of the foliage, and berries.
