Introducing "A Brother's Wisdom"

For September, I would like to feature "A Brother's Wisdom".

This piece is part of a grant project from the Prairie Lakes Arts Council. My ongoing project , titled "The People", shows the lives of the indigenous peoples of North America, and is a labor of love, and respect.

I like pieces that tell a story, or invoke a mood or feeling. "A Brother's Wisdom" shows two brothers out on a hunt on the prairie. Coming upon the skull of a fallen bison, the elder teaches the younger about the sacred nature of the bison, and how their lives are intertwined and dependent upon them.
